A Current Perspective On Reality

I am an expert in my own experience, that is what I can offer you. From what I have researched, where I have worked, the places I have volunteered, the things I have done and the places I have been, I have acquired knowledge and skill sets often with the intention of healing others. I am no expert on reality, but I can offer you the perspective of someone who has given it a lot of thought, both for interest purposes and for survival.

Lately the media has had no choice but to report on many things it may not have in the past. This is largely due to the explosion of social media globally. Now, everyone, whether they realize it or not has the power to be a journalist. Well, at least a mini-journalist. Still, an individual’s social media contribution to a social cause can cause a ripple effect from a quiet whisper to a tsunami roar.

With the events that took place on Capitol Hill on January 6th, 2021, the entire world was left traumatized by the chaos. Deaths, injuries and damages due to a violent mob incited by an equally aggressive former President of The United States of America. This position is supposed to represent “leader of the free world.” There was nothing free about that day, least of all the minds of those almost zombie-like rioters hanging on the every word of a man who has never and will never put their wellbeing first.

This is reality.

This is often a hard pill for many people to swallow, as it should be. Life can feel difficult at times. But, there is hope. There is balance. There is beauty. There are extraordinary things taking place every day in seemingly ordinary lives.

This is reality too.

In the second episode of London Mind Fit Sessions I delve into the subject of reality from a mental health perspective. First I classify a distinction between two simultaneous realities taking place at all times, for all people on the planet. Then I will discuss the Capitol Riots and Impeachment Trial as an example of a communal trauma we all faced. And lastly, I will send an important message to anyone who is currently struggling, providing insight into how they can potentially regain their balance.
